How to load film into your Pentax 67 camera properly
Hey there!
In this video, I’ll show you how to load film into your Pentax 67 camera properly. Trust me, it’s easier than you might think!
Let’s Get Started:
Getting the Camera Ready
- First, I opened the back of the camera to show you where the film is going. If it’s your first time doing this, don’t worry; I’ll guide you through the process step by step!
- With the back open, I carefully remove any old film (if there is any) and prepare everything for the new roll.

Loading the Film
- Now, I grab a new roll of film and slide it into place. This part is pretty simple once you know how to do it!
- I’ll show you how to pull the film leader across to the take-up spool. Make sure to line it up correctly, and pay attention to the little arrows or marks!
- I then advance the film by using the winder to check that it’s feeding correctly. This step is crucial to avoid wasting shots later.
Finishing Up
- Once the film is set, I close the back of the camera and give it a few more winds to ensure everything is in place and ready to go!
- And just like that, you’re done! The Pentax 67 is ready to capture some fantastic shots.
See? Easy, right?
Loading film into the Pentax 67 doesn’t have to be intimidating. With a bit of practice, it’ll become second nature. Now that you’ve loaded your film, go out and shoot some beautiful moments!
Thanks for watching! I hope this helps make your film journey smoother! 😊
